First HP Latex 2700W in Canada goes to Lamcom Technologies

Lamcom Technologies installs first HP Latex 2700W in Canada.

Leading signage and digital print service provider, Lamcom Technologies Inc, has recently installed the first HP Latex 2700W in Canada.

This new acquisition is set to help the business expand its white ink, banner, and soft signage textile capabilities – enabling it to take on more jobs in their growing portfolio of clientele, all without compromising on sustainability.

Founded in 1975 and based in Montreal's Rosemont-Petite-Patrie borough, the company offers a quick turnkey printing service, from customer advice to installation. Lamcom uses only high-quality products and state-of-the-art equipment, a promise it guarantees by upgrading its technology – systematically.

To ensure it operates as environmentally as possible, Lamcom prioritises sustainability in its decisions, such as, when available, products made from recycled materials, or without PVC, and eco-friendly inks – a key factor in its decision to work with HP.

Lucie Carbonneau, Executive Director at Lamcom Technologies, said: “Lamcom prides itself on doing the impossible for our clients. To do this, we need top of the line equipment. HP understands the wide format business better than anyone, so this year we invested in the HP Latex 2700 for its versatility and for HP’s vision of a more sustainable future.”

Extraordinary Efficiency and Application Potential
The new 3.2m (126-in) wide HP Latex 2700 takes production efficiency to the next level, offering vivid colours at up to 89 m2/hr (958 ft²/hr) via symmetrical double printheads, which come equipped with automatic printhead cleaning technology.

The device will allow Lamcom to take on high-margin jobs with 30% wider gamut at high speed, preserving media gloss and feel across a range of signage and décor applications – including thin films, vinyl and paper. Meanwhile, the HP Latex 2700W printers offer the whitest white ink on the market, allowing users to produce high-margin applications on pre-colored and transparent media.

High performance with sustainability in mind
All devices in the Latex 2700 series run on fourth generation HP Latex ink – bringing UL ECOLOGO certification, while also meeting UL GREENGUARD GOLD and Toy Safety requirements. This will allow Lamcom to embrace jobs in even the most sensitive indoor environments.

Additionally, the whole portfolio takes HP Eco-Carton - cardboard-based ink cartridges that reduce plastic wastage by using 100% recycled and recyclable cardboard containers.

Finally, Lamcom will expand its use of HP’s Print OS software to ensure its team realise the full potential of the firm’s new hardware.
