Hybrid to showcase new Mimaki technology at The Print Show

Hybrid Services to showcase new Mimaki print technology at The Print Show.

Hybrid Services, the exclusive distributor of Mimaki in the UK and Ireland, has revealed it will demonstrate a range of new print technology from Mimaki on its stand at The Print Show 2022.

A long-term supporter of The Print Show, having had a presence at each event in the show’s history, Hybrid Services will be based on a large stand along the very front of Hall 17 at the NEC, adjacent to the hall entrance.

Visitors to the Hybrid Services stand in September will be able to view a number of Mimaki printers in action, including two of the new 330 Series; Mimaki’s latest platform that currently includes solvent print and printer/cutter solutions, plus a dye-sublimation model.

Featuring the two solvent machines at the event, Hybrid Services will demonstrate the significant productivity enhancements that the pair of 1.6m machines sport.

Both models feature a new X/Y cutter, which provides inline X- and Y-axis sheet-fed cutting. This eliminates unwinding and manual cutting from the workflow, helping printers to significantly speed up and streamline the post-print process.

Another standout feature is the newly designed multi-media system that allows three rolls of media to be loaded simultaneously, greatly reducing the time and labour required to change print media. A single operator can bring the desired media into position simply by turning the handle on the media changer.

Hybrid Services reseller account manager Martin Southworth, said: “Mimaki once again pushes forwards with intuitive, cost effective, and high quality solutions; the two new 330 Series models offer significant advances to an already established technology.

“With Mimaki’s heritage in manufacturing dedicated solvent printers stretching back to the early 2000s with the launch of the sector-defining JV3, the latest iteration in the ‘3’ lineage is the 330 platform.

“Mimaki has continuously developed its solvent print technology over this time, ensuring it’s been at the forefront of innovation, and the new 330 Series is no exception. Sign-makers, commercial printers, print-service-providers, and graphics professionals looking to invest in the latest models will see substantial productivity benefits and we’re delighted with the response we’ve had so far.”

New options

Also set to appear at The Print Show 2022 are the new UJF-3042MkII e Series and UJF-6042MkII e Series, Mimaki’s latest direct-to-object printers, with the ability to print onto an extensive variety of soft and hard media including plastics, leather, wood, acrylic, metal, and glass.

The UJF-3042MkII e Series features a print area of 300mm x 420mm, while the UJF-6042MkII e Series offers a larger print size of 610mm x 420mm.

“With vibrant, long lasting and Greenguard Gold certified inks, powerful Core Technologies and a host of enhancements over the previous versions, Mimaki’s new UJF models offer real advantage to businesses looking for a direct-to-object printing solution,” Southworth said.

“Once again, these two printers have a long lineage of innovation and heritage to build on, with year-on-year, the UJF being the best-selling product in its class.”

Finally, Hybrid Services will showcase the new Mimaki 3DUJ-2207 full-colour 3D printer. Utilising UV-curing inkjet technology, the high-definition colour reproduction made possible with the printer provides new opportunities across a range of industries.

From product prototyping to industrial design applications such as medical and architectural modelling, the new printer is also adept at producing small-scale models for design offices and educational settings, as well as collectible gaming figures.

“The 3DUJ-2207 offers a new approach to 3D printing, with its ability to accurately reproduce work in up to 10,000,000 colours,” Southworth said. “Its compact footprint belies its extraordinary capabilities and visitors to The Print Show will be able to view a broad array of impressive samples produced on this machine and its larger stablemate, the Mimaki 3DUJ-553.”

Exciting technologies

Duncan Jefferies, head of marketing and business development for Hybrid Services, added: “Mimaki’s reputation as innovators within the printing industry ensures we have a consistent flow of new technologies and come September, we look forward to presenting the very latest hardware in the Mimaki line-up.

“Hybrid’s stand at The Print Show will incorporate some of the very latest printing and cutting solutions from Mimaki. With a prime position and unique layout, visitors will be able to see new wide-format printers utilising a variety of ink technologies that can deliver a vast array of profitable and engaging applications.

“Commercial printers looking to incorporate a wide-format workflow into their business will find plenty of inspiration, applications, and technology from Mimaki on the Hybrid stand, and we look forward to meeting them at the show.

“Equally, sign-makers attending the show will be able to keep abreast of Mimaki’s latest hardware. With a range of ink technologies on display, we look forward to demonstrating new and exciting printing and cutting solutions that offer tangible workflow advantages for the sign and display industry.”

The Print Show 2022 will take place from September 20th to 22nd at the NEC in Birmingham.
